What’s Humanities Center?

HMC open research projects, selected through an application process targeting teachers who belong to member departments, include collaborative or individual research projects undertaken by scholars from abroad who are invited for long-term residencies, and related to the humanities and adjacent fields including philosophy, history, literature, education, art, architecture, and society. The aim is to promote new research activities from an interdisciplinary and international perspective, particularly research grounded in East Asian including Japan.
